Crispy Fried Chicken

Ingredients

    5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® Tempura Batter Mix 733-0140

    90 fl oz (11 1/4 cups) ice cold water

    1 oz (1/3 cup) ground mustard

    24 lb boneless, skinless, uncooked chicken breast strips

    8 oz (2 cups) pecans, chopped

    75 oz (25 cups) corn flakes, crushed

Method

    1. Place water in mixer bowl; add Krusteaz Professional Tempura Batter Mix and ground mustard. Blend with wire whisk just until blended.

    2. Coat chicken pieces with batter. Lightly drain off excess batter.

    3. Mix together nuts and crushed corn flakes. Coat battered chicken with mixture.

    4. Fry in 350°F oil to the proper internal temperature, about 4 – 4 1/2 minutes.
