Cinnamon Funnel Cake with Tres Leches Sauce


    Funnel Cake:

    5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® Funnel Cake Mix 742-0425

    1 oz (1/4 cup) ground cinnamon

    56 fl oz (7 cups) cold water

    Tres Leches Sauce:

    16 fl oz (2 cups) evaporated milk

    16 oz (2 cups) caramel sauce

    8 fl oz (1 cup) heavy cream





    1. For funnel cake, mix together Krusteaz Professional Funnel Cake Mix, ground cinnamon and water using a wire whip until well blended.

    2. Pour batter into 375°F oil in a funnel cake ring, filling with batter in desired pattern.

    3. Fry for 30 seconds then turn over. Fry additional 30 seconds, or until golden brown.

    4. Remove from fryer and drain off excess oil.

    5. For tres leches sauce, combine evaporated milk, caramel sauce and heavy cream in sauce pan. Bring to a boil and set aside.

    6. Drizzle sauce over funnel cakes. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
