Turtle Waffles

Makes 14, 4-inch waffles

Ingredients

Waffles
  • 1 lb (2 cups) Krusteaz Professional® Double Chocolate Belgian Waffle Mix 741-0365
  • 12 oz (1 1/2 cups) cool water
  • 4 oz (1/2 cup) pecans, chopped and toasted
Topping
  • 8 oz (1 cup) caramel sauce
  • 4 oz (1/2 cup) ganache
  • 2 oz (1/4 cup) pecans, chopped and toasted

Method

  1. Blend Krusteaz Professional Chocolate Waffle Mix and water using a wire whisk. Fold in 4 oz of pecans. Let stand 1 minute.
  2. Pour #24 scoop of batter onto preheated Belgian waffle iron; close lid. Wait 10 seconds and turn over.
  3. Cook waffles for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until done.
  4. Drizzle 1 Tbsp caramel sauce on waffle. Spoon 1 tsp ganache over caramel. Sprinkle pecans on top.
