Molten Crab Biscuits
Makes about 32 portions
Ingredients
44 oz (5 1/2 cups) buttermilk
5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® Buttermilk Biscuit Mix 734-0320
2 lb (8 cups) Pimento cheese
1 lb (4 cups) crab meat
8 oz (2 cups) butter, melted
3 Tbsp chives
Product Details
Method
Place buttermilk, Krusteaz Professional Buttermilk Biscuit Mix, and cheddar cheese in a mixer bowl.
Using a paddle, mix on low speed for 30 seconds.
Scoop dough using a #24 scoop into greased, ovenable 6 oz ramekin. Top with Pimiento cheese and crab meat. Layer on another scoop of biscuit mix.
For convection oven, bake at 375°F 10-12 minutes; for standard oven, bake at 425°F 14-16 minutes.
Stir chives into melted butter and brush over biscuits immediately after removing from oven.
