Glazed Lemon Scones



  • 5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® Buttermilk Biscuit Mix 734-0320
  • 64 fl oz (8 cups) heavy whipping cream
  • 7 oz (1 cup) sugar
  • 3 Tbsp grated lemon zest
Lemon Glaze
  • 21 oz (4 2/3 cups) powdered sugar
  • 6 fl oz (2/3 cup) lemon juice


  1. For scones, place Krusteaz Professional Buttermilk Biscuit Mix, cream, sugar and lemon zest in mixer bowl.
  2. Using a paddle, mix on low speed 30 seconds. Scrape bowl and paddle. Continue to mix on low speed for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Scale dough into 5, 30 oz pieces.
  4. Shape each piece into an 8-inch circle, slightly domed in the center.
  5. Cut into 8 wedges.
  6. Place on ungreased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. For convection oven, bake at 350°F 10-12 minutes; for standard oven, bake at 400°F 15-17 minutes.
  8. For lemon glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  9. Spoon 1-2 Tbsp glaze over warm scones.
