Bratwurst Meatball Fritters

Makes 24 fritters


  • 6 bratwursts
Fritter Batter
  • 20 fl oz (2 1/2 cups) water
  • 1 lb (2 cups) Krusteaz Professional® Protein Buttermilk Pancake Mix 731-0115
  • 6 oz (3/4 cup) cornmeal
  • 1/4 tsp paprika


  1. For meatballs, Remove casing from bratwurst. Roll into 1-inch balls. Bake in convection oven at 350°F for 20 minutes. Set aside.
  2. For fritter batter, Whisk water, Krusteaz Professional Protein Buttermilk Pancake Mix, cornmeal and paprika together using a wire whip until well-blended.
  3. Dredge meatballs in batter.
  4. Fry at 350°F for 3 minutes or until internal temperature is 165°F.
  5. Drain.
