Apricot Walnut Bars

Makes 96 servings

Ingredients

  • 5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® All Purpose Muffin Mix 734-0120
  • 16 oz (2 cups) butter, softened
  • 14 oz (2 cups) packed brown sugar
  • 8 oz (4) eggs
  • 24 oz (4 cups) chopped, dried apricots
  • 13 1/2 oz (3 cups) coarsely chopped walnuts

Method

  1. Place Krusteaz Professional All Purpose Muffin Mix, butter, sugar and eggs in mixer bowl.
  2. Using a paddle, mix on low speed 1 minute. Scrape bowl and paddle.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix on low speed 1 minute or until dough forms around paddle.
  4. Press dough into prepared full sheet pan.
  5. For convection oven, bake at 300°F 20-25 minutes; for standard oven, bake at 350°F 25-30 minutes. Cool completely. Drizzle with glaze, if desired.
