Ginger Infused Shrimp

Ingredients

    5 lb (full box) Krusteaz Professional® Tempura Batter Mix 733-0140

    90 fl oz (11 1/4 cups) cold water

    1 1/2 oz (1/2 cup) ground ginger

    23 lb uncooked shrimp (31-40 per pound)

Method

    1. Place water in mixer bowl; add Krusteaz Professional Tempura Batter Mix and ginger. Blend with wire whisk just until blended.

    2. Coat shrimp with batter. Lightly drain off excess batter.

    3. Fry in 350°F oil for 4 – 4 1/2 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with soy dipping sauce and pickled ginger, if desired.
